Filipino Chicken Adobo Recipe With Garliki Umami (4 Servings)

INGREDIENTS
2 lbs bone in, skin-on chicken thighs
2-4 slices of pork belly (optional)
6 tablespoons Garliki Umami
2 bay leaves
2 teaspoons whole black peppercorn
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons neutral cooking oil
Step 1:
Heat up cooking oil in a skillet and lightly brown the chicken.
Step 2:
Combine all ingredients, including the browned chicken, into a pot on the stove. Bring to a simmer.
Step 3:
Lightly simmer for two hours.
Step 4:
Remove bay leaves and serve over rice.
